Is RD Agent an official India Post app?
No. RD Agent is independent software made for RD / MPKBY agents; it is not made or endorsed by India Post. You log in to the India Post agent portal yourself and type the captcha yourself. On the phone, your DOP password stays on your phone only.
How do I record a UPI payment?
Choose UPI as the payment mode when you save. Home shows cash and UPI in hand separately, and how much is already locked in lots.
How is the default fee worked out?
₹1 for every ₹100 of the monthly deposit, for each late month. Accounts due on the 1st–15th become late after the 15th; accounts due on the 16th–end only after the month ends.
When is a rebate given?
When 6 or more installments are paid in advance in one go: ₹10 per ₹100 of the monthly deposit for 6–11 installments, ₹40 for 12 or more. Late installments do not count. These are the standard rates — Settings shows the ones in use.
How big can a cash lot be?
Up to ₹20,000. "Auto-split into lots" makes lots within this limit for you.
Does "Pay All" on the portal pay the money?
No — it only submits the list on the portal (the app taps it for you once every account is saved). You hand the cash and the list in at the post office; after that, mark the lot as posted.
I have staff — how does their cash come to me?
On the Elite Agency plan, staff tap "Hand over to owner" in My Cash and you confirm it in Team. Until you confirm, the cash still counts as with them.
Why is the ASLAAS number blank?
Run DOP Sync once — the app reads each account's ASLAAS number from the portal. Accounts the portal shows as "Applied" have no number yet.
How do I delete or correct a wrong entry?
Open the customer (or In Hand) and tap the entry. Pick a reason — Wrong entry, Entered twice, Wrong account or Wrong amount — then tap "Delete this entry", or change the installments or amount and save. A deleted entry stops counting everywhere and can be restored from the same entry. Only the agency owner can do this. An entry in a lot must be removed from the lot first, and money already at the post office can only be corrected, not deleted.
My DOP agent ID starts with DOP.MIG. Can I use the app?
Yes. Enter it exactly as the portal shows it: DOP.MIG followed by 7 digits.
My portal list stops at 500 accounts. Are the others synced?
Yes. DOP Sync finds the other accounts by account number. Closed and matured accounts are left out, so the count shown is your active accounts. If the portal logs out midway, tap Sync again: nothing is lost.
What does "Discontinued" mean?
5 or more installments are unpaid. The portal will not take the installment, so the account cannot go in a lot until the customer revives it at the post office.
Does my plan depend on how many accounts I have?
No. Plans depend only on your monthly book, the total of all monthly amounts. See More → Subscription Plan.
How do I take a customer’s cheque and deposit it? (Beta)
On the customer’s page pick Cheque, then Post Office (DOP) for their POSB cheque or Other bank. Enter the 6-digit cheque number and the account number printed on the cheque (and the bank’s name for another bank). The cheque must be for exactly the total shown — part cash and part cheque is not allowed; one cheque can pay several of the family’s accounts.
Then make the cheque list: Lots → New Lot → DOP cheque / Non-DOP cheque, or Auto-split into lots — one cheque list holds at most 50 rows and has no amount limit (a cash list stays at ₹20,000). Prepare fills each row’s cheque on the portal; check the rows, press “Pay All Saved Installments” yourself and save the reference. Hand the cheques in at the post office with 2 printed copies of the list.
The cheque is always the customer’s own — an agent may not pay for a depositor from the agent’s own account.
Beta: cheque lists are new. The app asks you to accept a short note once; check every row on the DOP portal before you press “Pay All Saved Installments”. If a cheque is returned, the deposit does not happen — settle it with the customer and the post office.
